i am soooo! sorry i have been away for so long, but im back. now i can wish every one a happy YULE ! my "gift" has been extra powerful lately as well as my magick i am also happy because i am going back to salem ma for halloween next oct but im glad to be back!

now you may or may not know this but it is unwise to use magick when you have fallen ill it can be very dangerous becaus u are using your energy which your body needs to feel better so always be aware of this danger !

It has taken me a while to figure out what to write next, i sat thinking of things and i finaly found one. i'm going to talk about dangors of the spirit world. not every thing in the spirit word is kind and helpful evil resignates to all worlds even our own. shdows i'll call them (more comonly known as demons in the maine "streem religions" ) i feel that the thret of these evil beings no matter what the name is very very real ! it is wise to protect yourself from them ( i will be adding spells for this to the spells section which then you can crate your own ideas from them) if you have any questions i'll answer them

"ghostly things"

today i had an idea to investigate my basement for paranormal activity my friend came with me i used a pendulum to get answers from any spirits that might lurk in the shadows of my basement. lets just say ask and you shall receive i asked for a sign and i got it. it was such an odd experience.

Alright, so it's been a while since the site's actually been updated, we know. But the good news is that it's being helped looked after by another individual now, so between the two of us the site should be updated regularly.
The first thing I'd like to say is welcome to The Wiccan Teen, and make yourself at home! There's no reason to be shy! Make yourself an account over there in the top right-hand corner, and join our community! Learn more and more each day by coming back! If there are no posts for an entire week, management will post something that we deem interesting, in attempt to strike up conversation.

What Wicca Isn't

Alot people including young wiccan's or Pagans have the wrong idea about what Wicca is.

Lets see if i can help Clear things up a bit. It's a work in progress so this might take a few updates.

Wicca is a religion. Some Wiccan's do cast spells. What do those spells do? Depends on what you want. You need more money...dont' just do a spell for more money...do a spell for a job...or pay raise...maybe more hours at your current job. Ever heard of a Rich Witch? Sure, but they WORKED to get there...it didn't just happen.

You really like this guy/girl and would really like to go out with them. If you cast a spell to make them fall in love with you...forget it!! You don't want that karmic backlash! Forcing someone to love you goes against our Most important Rule! "An it harm none. do what thou will" Forcing someone to love you, or like you goes agasint their free will. That is a form of harm. So love spells are just not a good thing. Get the gump up and ask them on a date. If they have a significant other...then back off. There will be MORE trust me..you guys still have college to go through!! Google "high schools" and you'll thousands of Schools all over the US who knows....maybe in the future you'll meet one fo them and like them better.

So remember that "An it Harm None, Do what Thou Will" That means if what you are going to do doesn't hurt you, someone else mentally, physically or spiritually then proceed, but be prepared to take the consequences of those actions.

There are not Invisibility spells!!!!! you will not be transparent. The last invisibility spell i pulled off only made it where i was ignored for the most part and wasn't noticed. Same as being invisible, but whenit mattered i was noticed.

You can't change how you look with a spell!! There's no Quick spell to loose weight, change your eye color or hair color....that's hollywood glamor! For those of you watching the movie "The Craft"....It's NOT a good Basis for beginning. Spells can aid you in loosing weight but you still have to put for the effort. you have to either exercise, change your diet, or both! Also, spells aren't an easy way out!! if you need healing...go see a Doctor! They are licenced profesionals...many will help if you want to try alternative forms of dieting, and such.

Wicca like any religion is about spirituality not spells. We seek to find the balance in our own lives. We seek to find the peace in our own souls. We try and live our lives with patience and work towards bettering ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually. we show tolorance of other religions, or try to. I know i had hard time making myself stop hating churches. I didn't like Christian churches, especially Catholic. It's a long personal story, but lets just say it took alot of TIME and PATIENCE to bring peace. So I'm saying it's NOT easy by any means, but it is possible.

What we don't do:

We don't worship the devil
We don't sacrifice animals
We don't harm other living beings
We Don't believe our way is the only way, Everyone has their own way to reach the Devine. As long as it harms none to get there.

What we Do:

We do acknowledge our own uniquness
We do call upon the 4 elements
We believe in a balance of good and evil, but strive to keep the balance tipped to good.

Hello my name is Jesse Skaggs I'm 14 and I live in Olive Hill KY and I am a sort of half religion I made of my own it's a combination of the ancient Greeks beliefs' and wiccan. It's hard to explain but I worship the great gods of Olympus and believe that I have wiccan abilities all my own. As my father, still a teenager was a Satanist and the family tree had a range of psychics also, ranging from sudden feelings of something terrible about to happen to their kin, or being able to see into the future(my grandmother) or being able to occasionally read minds(my father) I even once had a uncle that fought in the civil war that when described one of the words used was always evil and his great size I suppose is where I got my size from and name his was Jess Roe. I'm currently writing my first book it's titled The Wiccan Teen assuming all goes well and it does get published, I expect it to be out by spring of 2009 i had originally said 08 but I fell behind in the writing and well yea , this is just an estimated time, I don't even know if it will get published but this will be the place to find out what's going on. NW Lousiana Pagan Pride Day '07

NorthWest Lousiana Pagan Pride Day

WOW! What a weekend! OK, so it wasn't a large festival with bands and such. It was a small event with a handfull of vendors, some speakers but alot of fun. My roommate and I are vendors we sell Mia Bella Gormet Candles. Be sure to visit and sign up to win a free candle, just click the jar candle at the top of the page.

Aside from selling the candles, i had the bright idea to sell Coke's and Water. Last year there wasn't much of either and people where hot and dehydrated. I also bougt a 50 pack of chips in case people get the munchies. It was great, i sold most of the cokes, half of the water, and some of the chips. From what i understand next year they're going to try and have a coke trailor and sell fountain cokes. That'll be great.

Aside from us selling candles and drinks. There was the Enchanted Forest, the shop owner, Tindy, makes jewelry, wands and staffs. Very Pretty stuff, my roommate even bought one of the wands for me, for an early birthday present :) I'm waiting on Tindy to send the picture of me holding it with a shocked look on my face :)

The Gem Tree, custom Jewelry, was accross from Tindy , he had more of the cut stones avaliable and some set in jewlery peices. I had him take a look at a large stone i got from my grandmother ages ago and he thinks it might be Topaz. You can contact hima dn see what he has avaliable at jelawless@comcast.net. The last booth indoors was The Twisted Cauldron, run by BJ and Sam. a really nice couple with a cute baby who had her baby blessing ritual at this Event. They sell herbs and oils, some books, clothing, jewlery, they also did peircing and Tatooing.

We also had Bud's Gifts & Collectibles, again no web site to post. He had neat dragon figurines, and pentacle wall candle holders. I'll get Melissa to take a picture of hers for me. He also had some small bottle for potions, oils, or herbs.

Bunking under the same tent with Bud was Crones In the Woods, the vendor's name is Jackie, one of hte first pagans i met in this area when i moved here. She has a web site but for the moment it's not working. She sold herbs and some oils. She has most of her stuff at a local shop called Celtic Moon.

Across from Bud and Jackie was Tut's Toys. Sharon sold some egyptian figurines, and had a few peices of anime artwork.

Also selling outside at the event was Apache Tears. As far as i know there isn't a web site. but she sold some candles, soaps, jewelry and head dresses, Which i bought one. I'll try and get a picture of me in it later ;)

Tony M Kail: Author of A Cop's Guide to Occult Investigations & founder of The Forensic Theology Research Center, he has served as a police consultant and trainer since 1990. Kail has spent several years performing research with various religous communities thoughout the United States. He has observed and documented a number of rituals and ceremonies of various religous sects. His focus is on African & Neo-Pagan religous traditions. He has performed research in East Africa with ritual specialists and members of the African traditional religions.

Dorothy Morrison: Author of Everyday Magic, The Craft, & several other Neopagan/Wiccan books. She is a Third Degree Wiccan High Priestess of the Georgian Tradition, founded the Coven of the Crystal Garden in 1986, and spent many years teaching the Craft to students in eight states and in Australia. Your Book of Shadows

Every Witch makes his or her own Book of Shadows. A Book of Shadows is your personal magick diary, with notes on what rituals and magick you performed, when you performed it, what you did, what kind of results you got, any feelings you have about your magick, your life, or anything else that you feel is important to record about your experiences as a Witch. These notes help you to better understand both yourself and your magick. You can use any blank pages book (check stationary stores for books with both lined and unlined blank pages and many different kinds of covers) or you can learn how to make your own paper and how to bind it into a book or you can just use ordinary notebook paper and any binder of your choice. The plural of Book of Shadows (when talking about more than one of them) is Books of Shadows (not Book of Shadowses). You will usually want to be able to easily add pages anywhere in your Book of Shadows or even move pages around. This means some kind of loose leaf binding, usually a two or three hole notebook. Some Witches prefer bound books, which means that once something is put in, that’s the order it is in, and it can't ever be changed. If you use a regular two hole or three hole notebook, you can also get plastic binder pages to insert special items that you don’t want to hole punch. Some Witches keep daily Books of Shadows in loose leaf notebooks, and once a year (or whenever makes sense) transfer the most important information into beautiful bound books (some even learn bookmaking and make their own books). You may want to consider what will happen if your Book of Shadows falls into the wrong hands (angry parents, troublesome siblings, cranky teachers, etc.) and store or keep your Book of Shadows appropriately. You may want to include personal identification information (name, address, phone number, e-mail, etc.) in case your Book of Shadows gets lost. It is acceptable to your share your BOS when you feel comfortable. Normally parts of your Book of Shadows will be very personal and won’t be shared and other parts will be things you might share with other Witches. Never let anyone else pressure you into sharing something you don’t want to share and never try to make someone else share something if they feel uncomfortable sharing. Some Witches keep their Book of Shadows on a computer. It is much better if you keep a real Book of Shadows. The process of actually writing something down or drawing something out helps make it more concrete. You will be much happier in the long run with actual books. Plus, once you learn how to make magick inks, you can use magick inks for writing in your Book of Shadows.

Things to include in your Book of Shadows

You decide what you want to include. You can leave things from this list out if you don’t feel like including them. You can add other things that aren’t on this list if you feel like including them. It is your personal Book of Shadows — make it your own!

Title Page Include your name, contact information, and the dates you start and end that Book of Shadows. If you end up keeping different Books of Shadows for different subjects, then label the subject too.

Dedication Page Write down your spiritual commitment. Things like why you are practicing Witchcraft, what you hope to learn, how you hope to grow, that kind of thing. If you want to dedicate your book to a particular God, Goddess, or more than one, write that down and why. Include the date and whatever astrological information you know. Over time, you may find that you want to change your dedication. That’s cool. In that case, add a new dedication page and keep the old one — you will want a record of how you have changed and grown in your craft. Don’t be embarrassed by old dedications — that’s a record of how you grew in the craft. Some Witches add a new dedication once a year, four times a year, or even at each Sabbat.

Invocation of the Goddess This is an invocation of your Goddess. You can have more than one Goddess (or not even have one yet). You can start by including the famous Charge of the Goddess from Leland’s Aradia or you can make up your own. Feel free to add additional invocations of the Goddess to various Goddesses as you discover them or make up your own.

Invocation of the God This is an invocation of your God (and this can be Jesus, if you are a Christian Witch). You can have more than one God (or not even have one yet). Feel free to add additional invocations of the God to various Gods as you discover them or make up your own.

Altar Diagrams You may include diagrams, drawings, even photographs, of altars that you plan or make. Include any notes that you feel are important.

Circle Write down how you call or cast your circle. Include any chants or poems you recite or make up. Include any notes about anything special you do. Save old versions. You may start with the version at casting a circle.

Rituals Keep notes on all the rituals you try. Write down what you did and how it turned out. You can also include rituals you are saving for later (so they are handy when it is time).

Lunar Keep notes on your Esbats (Full Moon and New Moon), as well as any other lunar rituals (dark moon, waxing moon, waning moon, quarter moons, etc.). You can also include notes for lunar things you might want to do in the future.

Drawing Down the Moon If you do a Drawing Down the Moon ritual on Full Moon, keep notes on what you did, any visions or inspirations, and how things turned out.

Sabbats Keep records of what you do for each of the eight Sabbats in the Wheel of the Year. You may also want to save ideas for upcoming Sabbats (rituals, recipes, crafts, decorations, incenses, potions, spells, etc.).

Holy Days If you celebrate any holy days other than the Esbats and Sabbats, you will probably want to keep records of those. And you may want to save information on holy days you learn about in case you ever want to celebrate them in the future.

Other Special Days Keep records of any other special days, including your own birthday, and the birthdays of friends and families, anniversaries, and any other days that are special to you.

Magickal Calendar If the sections on Esbats, Sabbats, Holy Days, lunar cycles and other special days becomes large enough, you may want to consider keeping a seperate Magickal Calendar book.

Poems These can be your own poems, poems you find inspiring, or any combination.

Songs These can be your own songs, songs you find inspiring, or any combination.

Dances These can be your own dances, dances you find inspiring, or any combination.

Chants These can be your own chants, chants you find inspiring, or any combination.

Prayers These can be your own prayers, prayers you find inspiring, or any combination.

Invocations These can be your own invocations, invocations you find inspiring, or any combination.

Wisdom You may include wisdom you receive from visions, from power animals, from spirit guides, from dreams, from friends, from rituals, from books, even from school or your parents.

Astrology Keep the astrological charts of yourself, your lovers, your friends, your family, and anyone else important to you. You can use Western astrology, Chinese astrology, Hindu astrology, or any other kind of astrology, or any combination that you prefer.

Tools Keep records on your magick tools, their purposes, connections to the elements, markings, etc.

Magickal Information This section is all of your magickal information. This includes spells, of course, but can also include tables of correspondences, potions, oils, brews, incense, ointments, inks, tinctures, herb baths, bath salts, ritual soaps, sachets, powders, gems, crystals, candles, talismans, sigils, charms, magickal alphabets, runes, elements, knots, divination, etc.

Recipes Some Witches keep their recipes in their magickal information section. Others have a separate section for recipes. It’s really a matter of personal preference.

Magickal Diary Some Witches keep their magickal diary at the back of their Book of Shadows. Some Witches keep their Magickal Diary in a seperate book. It is a matter of personal preference. Some Witches even keep a sepearte detailed Magickal Diary, but include duplicates or summaries of the most important notes in the appropriate pages of their Book of Shadows. Your Magickal Diary records all the divination you do (astrology, Tarot, I Ching, Drawing Down the Moon, etc.), all the spells you perform (with the results), all of the rituals you perform, and anything else you do in your magickal life. You will also want to record dreams and visions. And you will want to keep notes on how you feel, how your life is going, what your plans and hopes and dreams are, and anything else that you feel is important about your life or your magick.

House/Room Cleansing

For in-home Cleansing lock the doors, take the phone off the hook, turn all cell phone and pagers off. Turn the speakers off to your PC if it remains online all the time. You must have no interruptions during the Ritual.

Prepping the rooms:

Start by cleaning the floor, sweeping the floor of dust and clearing it of unnecessary Things. Sweep the corners clear, AS you do this imagine the room being cleared of all negativity.

Say this Simple Rhyme as you sweep through the Rooms.

Sweep, Sweep, With the Broom
Clear all bad things from this room.
Sweep, Sweep, All good in,
Never again let the bad things in.

Now with that done take the Sage and Cedar smudge bundle and light it. Move the bundle's smoke around the sides top and bottom of each door frame in each room. Chant the following as you do.

Seal this room
from the bad
Allow all good
to flow within.

Move on to the next room. The last part can be used to seal the doors on the outside.

The Elements of Spell Construction

1. Clearly understand and define your magickal need. It helps to write it
out on paper.

2. Gather together all the items you will need for your spell, such as
candles, herbs, gemstones, athame, cup, etc. and empower these items.

3. Decide on your words of power, and create an appropriate chant if so
desired. It is helpful to memorize these, so as not to interrupt the flow
of energy while trying to remember what you are going to say next.

4. If you will be invoking a particular Deity, decide on who and write out
and memorize any special prayers and invocations that you will use.

5. Plan how you will visualize your goal...this is very important!

6. Decide when and where you will work your spell.

7. At the appropriate time, gather what you will use and go to the place
where you will perform the spell.

8. Cast your circle, or create your Sacred Space.

9. Invite whatever elementals, faeries, spirits, or Deities you wish to
have present as you work.

10. Clear your mind and begin visualizing your goal.

11. Raise energy within yourself and pour it into your magickal objects.

12. Use your words of power, light your candles, charge your stones, dance
or sing. Do whatever you have decided to do to focus your attention and
raise energy.

13. When you feel that you have put as much energy into your spell as you
possibly can, send the energy out to do your will. Relax, throw up your
arms, raise a tool, kneel, or do whatever else makes you feel the energy
being sent.

14. Finish your spell with words such as "So Mote It Be". It is a statement
of completion and an affirmation that you know your magick is successful.

15. When you are ready, close your circle and thank the elementals,
faeries, Deities, etc. who have been with you to help.

16. Ground your energy -- see it dissipate and return to the earth.

17. Record the ritual in your Book of Shadows.

New Moon
This is the beginning of the cycle, when you see no moon in the sky. Use the new moon for any sort of beginnings or personal improvements.

Waxing Moon
During this phases, the moon grows larger in the sky. Great time for anything involving growth or inspiration.

The Full Moon
Everyone recognizes the round face of a full moon. This is a good time for love, fertility or your psychic abilities. This is also when the moon is at it's most powerful, the power of the full moon can be tapped into 3 days before, and 3 days after it is seen in the sky.

Waning Moon
The opposite of the waxing moon, as it shrinks each night. Use this phase for endings and banishings.
